Groundbreaking social researcher Shaunti Feldhahn’s passion for advancing women into corporate leadership led her to expand into workplace and leadership research in 2007. Upon the launch of her first workplace book, The Male Factor, on The Today Show in 2010, Shaunti Feldhahn co-founded High Factor Results with long-time friend and senior business leader, Ann Browne, to add a new and necessary approach to solving the leadership gender gap. Her research and team has since expanded to include a wide array of research and consulting services. The team specializes in bringing to light and helping clients practically apply the high-leverage “missing link” changes that not only advance women into leadership but also dramatically improve productivity between the unseen but very real – and very different — cultural expectations of men and women.
This new-knowledge-based approach goes beyond the traditional top-down change-the-culture programs and empowers individuals with the knowledge they need to be perceived as the leader and solution-provider they are. For example, beyond traditional efforts to advance women’s leadership by creating mentorship, sponsorship, and flextime programs, HFR’s flagship Gender Matters program equips individual women in a male-led culture with the ability to take charge of their own perception in the pipeline, both allowing talented women to take more advantage of those corporate programs and ensuring more women are brought into those pipeline programs to begin with. Beyond traditional efforts to provide “selling skills” training to salespeople, our services give men and women the ability to see what will truly reach out to an opposite-sex client or customer and avoid roadblocks to closing the deal. As a result of these efforts, Corporate clients, women’s networks, leadership development programs globally have seen both immediate and long-term improvements not only in the percentage of women in leadership, but in effectiveness, productivity and influence of both men and women with bosses, colleagues, subordinates and clients.
